Your Patient Guide

An important member of the treatment team, the Patient Guide is someone who provides support, identifies appropriate resources to meet each patient's individual needs, and is always available to answer questions about resources, wellness services, transportation, and more. As a dedicated contact for patients and caregivers, the Patient Guide:

  • Coordinates with your caregivers to allow better collaboration at diagnosis
  • Acts as a go-to resource for information on wellness services, financial resources, support groups, transportation, psychological support and more
  • Provides emotional support to patients, beginning on Day One
  • Empowers the entire cancer care team to provide the best care possible

At CCCNF we have two patient guides to serve you!

Julie Davis
Patient Guide

Originally from New York, Julie Davis studied psychology and human services at Finger Lakes Community College during which time she completed an internship in psychology and recreational therapy at the Canadaigua VA Hospital. Upon graduation, Julie worked in sales and marketing for several years, after which she attended the New York Institute of Massage. She began a private practice in New York for two years until moving to Florida to further hone her skills in massage therapy. Her empathy for patients facing cancer led her to join the Community Cancer Center of North Florida in 2009. Julie's experience in human services and complementary therapies uniquely qualifies her to serve as a proactive patient representative. She works with patients to identify their barriers to receiving care and connects them to the resources they may need such as counseling, transportation and financial assistance. She works congruently with members of the cancer care team, as well as with community social services, support groups, and other complementary programs. In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, watching Gator football games, playing sports, coming up with inventions, and getting involved in church/community activities

Tina Lloyd
Patient Guide

Born and raised in Florida, Tina Lloyd attended Santa Fe Community College where she earned a degree in Respiratory Therapy and where she currently serves as a member of the Respiratory Care Board. Upon graduation, Tina began her career as a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT). Her passion for patient care led her to further her career as a Clinical Liaison, which involved the coordination of multidisciplinary care and patient education. Now a member of Community Cancer Center of North Florida, Tina's extensive experience uniquely qualifies her to identify patients' barriers to receiving care in order to connect them to resources they may need such as counseling, transportation, and financial assistance. She works congruently with members of the cancer care team, as well as with community social services, support groups, and other complementary programs. After hours, she devotes her time to patients at the hospital. When she is not working, Tina enjoys relaxing at the beach and spending time with her family
