Dr. Paul J. Schilling

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Paul Schilling attended medical school at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston after which he studied internal medicine at the University of Texas and medical oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He then completed residency training in radiation oncology at Hahnemann University Hospital. Afterwards Dr. Schilling was recruited to Florida to work in private practice where he founded the Community Cancer Center of North Florida. Board certified in radiation oncology and a Fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology, Dr. Schilling has multiple publications, book chapters and expert presentations to his credit. Dr. Schilling is the President of the American Cancer Society High Five Unit and has been invited to serve on several national committees in his areas of expertise. Among his numerous honors, Dr. Schilling was awarded the distinguished 2008 Gold Medal by the American College of Radiation Oncology for his contributions to the field of oncology. This exclusive award had previously been conferred to only 19 physicians. Most recently, Dr. Schilling was recognized in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) for his outstanding contribution to the definitive textbook, Perez and Brady’s Principles and Practice of Radiation Oncology. In his spare time Dr. Schilling enjoys swimming and gardening.
